The Santa Maria Youth Basketball League is taking late sign ups, not certain through when. Regular sign ups were October 11th 2008 and November 1st 2008 at Edwards Gym, next to Pioneer High School.

ELIGIBILITY: Boys and Girls in Grades 1 -12.
Players must meet the grade and age requirement for each division.
Player’s age and grade subject to verification.

DIVISIONS: Boys Girls Age Requirements
Div IV ­-- 1ST and 2nd Graders Div IV -- 1st and 2nd Graders 8 yrs or less prior to 12/1/08
Div III -- 3rd and 4th Graders Div III -- 3rd and 4th Graders 10 yrs or less prior to 12/1/08
Div II -- 5th and 6th Graders Div II -- 5th and 6th Graders 12 yrs or less prior to 12/1/08
Div I -- 7th and 8th Graders Div I -- 7th and 8th Graders 14 yrs or less prior to 12/1/08
HS Div -- 9th --12th Graders HS Div -- 9th --12th Graders 18 yrs or less prior to 12/1/08

SEASON: Practice will begin in November and games begin in December for divisions IV, III, and II. Division I and High School practices will begin in December and the season will begin in January.

GAMES & PRACTICES: Coaches will schedule practices. Games for Divisions I through IV will be played on Saturdays with the exception of games that may be played for the inner-league tournament in January (Div II – III) and February (Div I). High School league plays on Sundays.

LATE REGISTRATION: Late registration fees will apply to all applications after October 13 (Div II-IV) and November 3 (Div I).
